A rare treat, I completely forgot how much I loved this. So It started when I accidently made too much mash the other day.
I thought I was about to make some potato cannilelli bean fritters but for some reason the cabbage was out suddenly, I remembered the stuffed leaves.
I used one large savoy cabbage leave per person and just add a couple for the extra hungery.
in wide low edge pan steam the leaves for about 5 mins or until soft.
2 cans of beans of choice.
cup of mash
2 onions fried with garlic and 1 large Courgette, 2 peppers and some herbs, like sage, rosemary, thyme a dash of gluten free soy sauce and some smoked paprika. Use half for the stuffing and the other half for the sauce.
Mix it together and stuff into the leaves, place in a dish and add the sauce and bake for 45mins seave with red cabbage and colslaw.
2 Cans of tomatoes
1 tbs tomato puree
Then with the other half of the veg from the stuffing. Just let them simmer for 30 mins and then pour over the stuffed leaves and add the sauce and bake for 45mins seave with red cabbage and colslaw.
